This is a lovely pub and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Me and my friend do like coming here as it is halfway between us both. But for some reason they don't do jacket potatoes 🤷🏻‍♀️ And the chef does not know how to cook steaks. Two times we have asked for medium for both of us and they both come well done. The 1st time we mentioned it they gave us free coffee. The 2nd time we did not mention it as we didn't want anything free, we just wanted our steaks cooked properly. Next time we go we might ask for rare and then hopefully they will come medium

The staff were all very friendly and helpful making the experience lovely. The starters were fantastic especially the baked feta dish. The mains were enormous and very tasty, good value for money. The issue came with desserts. Me and my partner ordered two Triple Chocolate Brownies. His seemed to be perfectly fine. Mine was dry and undercooked. I had trouble even getting the spoon in and when I did the whole thing crumbled. Its advertised as triple chocolate but tasted bland and dry. Was very dissapointed to see this. Overall a nice place and we would go again only next time we will not be staying for desserts.

It's the staff that make this a good place to eat, very welcoming, helpful and genuine. The place is a credit to the cleaners too. Cost for a hotel room is very good value, so are the meals.

We booked Christmas Lunch at Crewe & Harpur at Swarkestone and had the best time. Simply wonderful from start to finish. We were warmly greeted and, even though we were very early, the front of house team looked after us really well. The table/serving team were brilliant and nothing was overlooked, even a specific plating request. The food was delicious and portion size was extremely generous. A Massive WELL DONE and THANK YOU to all at Crewe & Harpur (Swarkestone), you made our Christmas Lunch very special and far surpassed our expectations. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work.

We booked last minute for a table at 9pm and had a lovely evening! We all chose from the festive menu. We were impressed by the quality of the food, and the options. As a vegetarian, it was lovely to have a dish with all the Christmas trimmings! Allergies were catered for with confidence. The staff we all so lovely and friendly, and the pub had a lovely Christmas feel!

We arrived without a booking and were seated within minutes of arrival. Our drink order was fulfilled in a very timely manner by our courteous and polite server, Gracie. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the buttermilk chicken burger. The sweet chilli sauce was unreal. We will definitely be back

I had the lasagne which was perfect. Claire was lovely who served us and Danny made me and my work pals some coffee baileys floats. Plenty of room in the car park and a great place to meet just off the a50

Went with friends for a meal and catch up. Great service and very friendly staff. Food was excellent and portion sizes just right. We were able to get a discount on our meals with a voucher which was great too. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely Sunday lunch experience. Promptly seated to our cosy table by the window and heating too! (A plus on a cold day). Drinks order and food order taken without delay. The beef roast was amazing - not a long wait at all to say how busy the pub was at 4pm! We even got a nice top up of our gravy boat by our lovely waitress Georgia!

Love it. Very friendly staff look after you very well.food is good atmosphere is great .we do recommend this and we definitely come again .
