Unprofessional, rude and incompetent. Had a survey done by an extremely rude surveyor, who had an argument with one of my tenants, who then prepared a survey that didn't make any sense based on the observations he stated in it himself. Had to raise a complaint with the office, who were also extremely rude and difficult to deal with. When they finally concluded their "investigation", they completed agreed with my points and altered the survey to reflect this, which made the actual surveyor's visit irrelevant as he was incompetent and in a bad mood that morning.

Use at your peril! We engaged Gateway to conduct a survey as part of our purchase of a residential property. They somehow failed to report a lack of sub-floor ventilation to the rear of our property which, they admit, was negligent. This failure meant that we did not undertake further investigations which would have led to us identifying that the property was suffering from a severe case of dry rot under the kitchen flooring. It has has cost us tens of thousands of pounds to treat the dry rot and put back together a beautiful kitchen extension and utility room. Although Gateway have admitted that they were negligent, their insurers are astonishingly refusing to pay out more than a token sum (less than £1,000) following an incorrect analysis of what would have happened if the defect had been correctly spotted by Gateway. Outraged and upset do not even come close to explaining our feelings. I strongly advise that you avoid any unnecessary risk and look elsewhere.

Terrible service! Having accepted they were negligent in the preparation of our Homebuyers survey, they didn't even have the courtesy of offering a refund of their fees (let alone the thousands we've spent rectifying their mistake!) Avoid!

Gateway Surveyors were very efficient and organised. I was very happy with how they arranged the valuations and liaised with me.

Very poor . Undervalued my property

Gateway were used to survey our home by our buyers. The surveyor turned up on time and was very personable. We have decided to use him for the house we are buying due to how good he was at our house.

Absolutely horrendous service! Never use this surveyor. They missed appointments and worst of all made mistakes on the valuation. AVOID at all cost! This firm is a complete joke!
